microbubble war

my skimmer is throwing so many microbubbles... i dont think its going to get any better... any remedies? i tried sponge in the outlet and it was perfect.. crystal clear.. until it overflowed because it restricted the wter flow too much

How long has it been set up?

Also, do you use any sort of tap water conditioner/dechlorinator when you make your water?

no tap water comditioner, it hasnt been running long a few days... and its the spr backpack with the rio 800... its soooooooo loud... the rattling has quieted some but if it doesnt continue to get more quiet im going to get a new rio 600 which it should have. and now it can not go into a sump :( its on a ten gallon haha its to help prolong my time between water changes

In general.HOB skimmers will produce some micri-bubbles.Not much of a way around that.
