So my pH dropped to 7.44 tonight...it usually stays between 7.8 and 7.68 through 24 hours

What should I do?? I have a lab grade pH probe

Have you done anything new like turned on the heat, had a fire going? CO2 will cause your ph to drop

I wouldn't worry too much since it will naturally fluctuate. There's tons of reasons why it could've dropped a little. Maybe check it again this evening (when the pH will naturally be at its highest point).

P.S. When did you last calibrate your meter? You might check, calibrate and check again before you worry too much.
