Looking at a refractometer

I have a stupid question....I always went by the numbers on the left of the refractometer, which reads in x.xxx (like 1.025)....I never paid attention to the right. Well, the other day, I was (unsuccessfully) trying to read my refractometer with my glasses on, and I couldn't read it!! LOL!! I have a hard enough time reading it with my contacts, but with my glasses?? Forget it! So I had my hubby read it, and he asked which number is he reading, and I said the left one, forgetting that it had numbers on the right as well.

I tried to look at the right numbers, but being blind as a bat, I couldn't read the right side. What are the numbers on the right?

The numbers on the right, atleast on my refractometer, are PPT. Or parts per trillion. Wich can then be converted into SG which are on the left. I believe that 35ppt is where you want to be
