Live sand question

Hello everybody!
I was wondering, how much live sand do I need to buy for a 40 gallon aquarium?

That depends on what kind of set up your doing

A deep sand bed 5-6 20 lb bags
A shallow sand bed 2- 3 20 lb bags

I have two 20's in my 36 gal bow front

I'd suggest 40lbs of sand should work.

+1 smitty. I have 3 20lbs in my tank and it brings it up to the black bottom support rail.
