live sand from my smaller tank

I just finished putting the last fish in my new tank, what should I do with the live sand from the other tank. I am going to have another 14 gallon nano tank but not for another few weeks. Can you keep live sand or just get rid of it and get new sand for the next tank.

if you decide to reuse the sand, be sure you give it a good cleaning. Sand traps all sorts of crud and when you move it, releasing the crud can cause issues.
