List of EVERYTHING for a 75 gallon reef tank.

I have one and it's been running for over a year, no complaints. Well maybe one, I wish it had two plugs instead of one. But it's your money, I'm just offering another option that no one else here uses or knows about. I also ran the original bulbs for about a year, 3 20k's and 3 10k's.

UV sterilizers are optional. Lots of people love using them. They do help cut back on free-floating stages of disease and algae spores, but they will do nothing for any algae or disease that is not floating in your water (i.e. on the fish, on the rocks, on the sand, on the glass). They also will kill any good things that go through them, so you'd have to weigh which is more important to you.

I think they are a great idea for tanks that have algae or disease problems, or for people that keep disease prone fish (like a lot of tangs), but they just aren't necessary for most reefers.

Also, using one for algae or disease doesn't get to the root cause of those problems, it only treats the symptoms.

Good bacteria (which is mostly on the rocks and sand, but some is in the water), plankton, pods... Stuff your fish and corals eat.

Could I fit a mandarin in there? I'm not sure about the tail spot blenny though. What kind of blenny do you recommend?

Dont get a tribal blenny.. evil little scheißerei
I think lawnmowers or freckle face blennies are cool! :D
