is the 6 bulb nova fixture (324 watt) too much for a 55?
if I did get that fixture and it is too much, could you just remove two bulbs and run it like that?
just thinking about possible upgrading down the road and wanted to see if I could buy one fixture that would pull double duty

No too much at all. Most people go with those plus MH bulbs.
