I have 55 gallon tank with coral and fish...i have one 48 inch T5 light...what else could i get to make it brighter and for the night time?

What kind of coral do you have with only 1 bulb?
For a 12" wide 55g tank, you can retrofit at least 3 more T5's.

I have the whole t5 set up which is 2 bulbs.

You either have a 2x54w T5-HO fixture or the 2x28w normal output T5 fixture.The first maybe good enough for soft corals and the second is best for a fish only system.If you really want to go with corals then it would be better to upgrade your lighting or adding additional fixture.If you're looking to add lunar for nighttime viewing than clip on or suction cup lunar lights is all you need.
