lighting for frogspawn

I would say those lights meet the bare minimum light requirements for corals... and the height on that tank is also to your disadvantage where as Power Compact lighting doesn't penetrate deep very well : /

Generally softies will do ok (mushrooms, leathers, zoas) Not sure how well a frogspawn will do... maybe if you get it higher in the tank it will be fine. Some corals will live under lower lighting but just not thrive and grow very much.

If your looking to get a better variety of corals in the future I would suggest looking at some more wattage to add on to it :) Shooting for 5-10 watts per gallon to get a nice wide range of corals. A low watt(70) MH pendant or even if you could add another PC light across there somehow would do the trick.

The frogspawn will live in that tank, but it wont thrive. I had one in my Biocube 14 and it only had PC's for lighting. The frogspawn was brown and lacked any color. When I upgraded tanks and lights to T5's the frogspawn turned bright green. I'd put it up higher in the tank. Also, make sure it only gets moderate flow. They are sensitive to higher flow and will not extend its tentacles all the way.

Kinda gonna hitchhike onto this thread. I'm grabbing a 70W HQI light soon. Was wondering if Frogspawn would be alright in a 10Gallon. I looked on Liveaquaria and I'm just askin cus it state's it's temperament as aggressive.
