Light??

What do you guys think about this light?? Used $120

Current light fixture. 48". Has (4) 65 watt bulbs. Has cooling fan and LED lights.

I have that light, I think. Does it have 2 blue and 2 white bulbs? I like mine but everyone seems to like the t-5 units, mine is compact flourecent. It's bright I think. Put a timer on the bulbs to leave the blues on longer than the white, simulates sunrise/sunset. The Led's at night are cool. Thats a great price, new is over 200.

I would recommend looking into MH/T5 combo unit.

Can you look for one that would be right for me.. My tank length is 36in. Im confused with those T5's

I can't get the onces Im asking because they are too long/

That current light would be good for moderate lighting. Most soft and LPS corals and a few moderate light SPS corals.

agreed. Good light to start out with since price is low. But as james suggested, see how old it is and in if its in good shape.

Here's a 36" PC light for 150.00 shipped. Not as good but will work for softys and some LPS. With the halide you could keep anything you want.
