i was gonna do a water change i picked up one of the rocks as soon as i picked it up i saw a small animal that looked like a white roach....what could it be???

How long has your aquarium been up? I wouldnt worry to much about it could be some type of microcrustacean. If you havent noticed any ill effects from it i wouldnt worry. Do you notice little holes in the sand about the size of a pencil? I had the same thing and never noticed anything bad come from them.
