I think I've decided on lights

Hamilton Technology 48 inch Metal Halide Fixtures T5 HO

All the other MH/T5 combos that I looked at were too wide for my 12" 55 gallon, and this is a pretty good price I think.

Only problem is I don't see any mounting legs and it doesn't say how you're supposed to mount the fixture. Anyone have these lights that could chime in?

they dont you just sit them on the tank or call them about a hanging kit. i would get something to hang them with. if you set them on the tank it will be too close and if you have glass tops the heat from the light will break the glass.
