I had one... he cost me $65 on sale. He was fine for about a month, then mysteriously disappeared 3 weeks ago. No sign of a body, and I have a glass top. But while i had him, he was totally a cool fish... just not sure I want to shell out another $65 for a fish I only keep for a month...

Eli, they sell 1/4x1/4 nylon mesh at Home Depot and Lowes. Anything smaller than that and they will jump through it....including egg crate.

woah, sorry for such a late response, no tooling isn't metal, its like really fine mesh, they make tutus for ballet with it lol. its awesome stuff and super cheap :)

If it helps, it's spelled "toule" or "touleing" and pronounced like "tool" or "tooling." You can find it at any craft or fabric store.
