I know, it's killing me. How long do I have to wait if I cure my live rock in my aquarium? A friend said 2 months.

Usually not that long. 3 to 4 weeks seems to be average.

Because there inevitably will have been some things that died in and on the rocks. The die off sometimes causes a cycle. You don't want to add anything to the tank if the rock has caused a new cycle.
