I got a strange question...

:sfish:Anybody know of a resource explaining the origins of fish names? (i.e. Hawkfish, Triggerfish etc.) Does the hawkfish circle at the top of the tank when it's planning on munching a snail? lol Just thought it'd be interesting reading.:question:

hawkfish dont swim much becuase they lack a swim bladder.swim bladder helps with boyency (i no i spelled thT wrong).sharks dont have one either but have a fatty sac to replace it

Hibyes right about hawkfish not having a swim bladder.The reason for their name is because they like to perch on rock and corals to ambush prey thats at lower levels.Just like a hawk would do.
