Mar 15, 2013 #2 R rems Reefing newb Location USA You should be able to use it indefinitely unless it is somewhat contaminated, just make sure there is water movement (stirring). But if you use a salt without vitamins or other organic additives, you can store it unstirred if you want.

Mar 15, 2013 #5 Smitty Reef pro Location Chicago/Oaklawn IL I make a bucket of saltwater and will sometimes let it sit for approx 2 weeks before I use it. Long as its sealed up tight, you should be alright.
