How does too much Calcium smell?

I added half a teaspoon of Kent turbo calcium to 5Gs of mix water made with Reef Crystals. It looks milky and smells chemically. Is it precipitating? If I use it for change with my 29G Biocube won't it dilute before it can precipitate?

yep i bet it did. how much a a 1/2 tsp suppose to treat

if it's cloudy, it's precipitated. it might dissolve if you heat up the water a bit (slowly)

By the way, according to kent, the supplement is calcium chloride. The approximate solubility of CaCl2 is 74.5 g in 100 mL of water. You're not quite at that level with the amounts you put in.... it may just take a while to dissolve.
