High Nitrates

I have a 4 week old 30 gallon saltwater tank that has 30 lbs of live rock with live substrate. I think the tank should be close to the end of cycling. All of the paramaters are normal with exception for Nitrates. They appear to have increased recently. I did a 10 percent water chaange on Saturday. Any advise? I am new to saltwater tanks and reefing so I have been learning as I go along in addition to the great advise and feedback by this website

Elevated nitrates is the last step of the cycle. Keep doing water changes and they'll come down.

Thanks for the feedback. I was getting a little nervous. Is it ok that I put a hermit crab and a few snails in there?

You didn't say how high your nitrates are.

as long as the nitrates are not crazy high I wouldnt sweat adding your inverts. where do I sign up for the 'damn frog drives me crazy' club
