how long does it usually take for a frogspawn coral to sprout new heads? just curious because ive had mine 5 months and it still has one head. my duncan coral that i bought the same time has 9 new heads on it now so i began to question the frogspawn and its progress. anything i can do to speed the process up?

Are you spot feeding it at all? Euphyllias went crazy in my tank for some reason... But I fed them mysis every other day.

no, i havent fed this one. i have fed the duncan though, could that be the reason?

I have never fed mine and it has more than doubled since I got it. I have had it about 5 months also, I think.

What kind of lighting do you have?

I have only about 2 watts per gallon over my tank and all my corals are happy as pigs in mud.

my LPS has started to grow rapidly since feeding Combo-Vital and Dr G's oyster magnifique

ho t5's. roughly 3watts per gallon. will be adding 2 more bulbs soon to make it 6 bulbs total increasing it to 4.5 watts per gallon. i think it may be where i had it originallly, i moved it to a new location about a month ago and it loves where its at now.. polyps are huge and fluffy. just still only has one head and of course i would like it to have more.

I agree...once you start feeding them on a regular, they'll start growing like crazy for you.
