Fish feeding

I called to check on my tank last night to make sure all is still good while i am on my vacation. My friend said they are doing good but he is having a hard time feeding the fish cause every time he tries to feed them the food, the power heads just moves the food around. I dont want him to touch any of my set up thats why i told him not to try and turn them off while feeding. Any ideas?

Even if the food is floating around, the fish should still be able to get it from the water column. I only turn my powerheads off when feeding the corals, not the fish.

Ty lots Lionel. I dont turn them off, but i thought maybe he was doing something wrong or he just not noticing them eating it. Lol still dont want him to touch my set up lol.
