Feeding Acans

So my acans are coming back because I didn't know I had to feed them and they were in my old tank and got all receded and they are slowly looking better but to get receded at times.


I try to feed a shrimp to it and it looks like it's pulling it in but it never has enough time because a shrimp or hermit steals it, how do I stop this? Different techniques? Ideas?

I'll try to feed again tonight.

Cut the bottom off of a 2 liter soda bottle and place it over the top of the corals, then squirt the food into the soda bottle. This will keep the hermits away and give the coral time to eat.
