Dry rock?

My question is do I have to buy live rock or can just use my dry rock?

Clean dry rock is good. It will become love by the bacteria that grow and colonize it and its much cheaper. As long as its for marine tanks and is clean.

Yea it is for marine use and is super clean rock. I went ahead and rinsed it real well also.

You might want to get a little piece of live rock to seed it. That will make a month and a half cycle into about three weeks if it's good LR.

live rock to seed will speed up a lot :):)
and would also seed your sand

I've used 90% dry rock in my tanks and it did not take long for it to get covered with lots of life.
