Does anyone have a pico reef running?

The other day, I had a guy come buy a couple frags and he had a pico with a few mushrooms and some sexy shrimp in his office. Has anyone had any experience or success with them. I was thinking of asking for one for my birthday to have a few mushrooms and some GSP in my kitchen.

I just got the freshwater version and it's pretty nice. They updated them so the filter area is sealed up tight and non-removable (a good thing). And it has starphire glass!

I've been strongly considering starting either a 2.5gal or 5gal pico.
I have a lot of plans for it. The biggest issue is lack of water volume. It will be a tiresome experiment I imagine.
