Reefing newb
Hey all,
I believe this to be cyano. Can anybody tell me for sure?

I also get patches on the glass and sand. I have tried to siphon it off the rocks and sand but it's really on there. Should I scrub my rocks? I have taken a small amount of sand out and tried to clean it but it's about impossible to clean it from the sand. The only thing I can think to do is pull out small amounts of sand and boil it. As always your thoughts are appreciated.
