Foods and feeding – The snail will roam the aquarium eating algae and detritus.

Reef compatibility – With Caution, as it get larger it may eat corals, anemones and sponges.

Captive care – This snail is extremely helpful in keeping an aquarium clean by eating detritus and algae. It likes colder waters, and large established tanks. It may eat corals, anemones and sponges if there isn’t enough food available, and will be more likely the bigger it gets. It primarily nocturnal and will hide under the rocks during the day. Like all invertebrates it is extremely sensitive to nitrates and copper, and even tiny amounts are lethal to them.
