So i got some new frags, as you may have seen in a different post and i have a question about one in particular.

The plug hes on isnt the most stable. This morning he was kicked over on his side. So would it be save to chip it off at the base somehow and glue him to a rock? or leave him on the plug and glue the plug to a rock?

Also what type of glues do you guys use? The LFS said super glue gel type, but she hasnt always been the best to get info from.

You could go either way, but if you do end up taking it off the plug, super glue gel is the way to go. Just put a big glob on the base of the coral and hold it in place in your tank. It'll set underwater.

If you dont like the look of the plug but are afraid of removing it. You can remove a rock from your tank where you want it and drill a 1/2 in hole (the size of the plug, may vary, usually 1/2 inch) and then slide the plug into the hole. It will fit perfectly and you wont see it as much.

I cheat I have two drill bit extensions that are each 12 inches long. I drill the rocks with out removing them most of the time. Even though I drill a bunch of holes before putting all rocks into a tank, I always need more in different places. Can not get much of an angle on most holes though.
