My tank never really cycled...I used all the rock from my twp previous tanks. I would start adding and just go slow...

my rock has been in water for 2 months is it cure rock..or not yet.

Rock in the tanks for two months I would say should be "cured" As far as the brown hair algae...How are the tanks readings, are you running a refugium, how long are the lights on, how long has this tank been set up? and some pictures

i cut down the light to 6 hrs and its helping....the brown thing is going away.

It will run its course, first year is always the hardest.
