FOODS AND FEEDING - Varied diet. Frozen preparations that contain marine algae, spirulina algae, mysid shrimp finely shaved shrimp. Feed at least 3 times a day if not in an established aquarium with healthy microalgae growth.

REEF COMPATIBILITY - Occasionally will nip at large polyped stony corals, some soft corals, and clam mantles.
CAPTIVE CARE - An interesting pygmy angel fish that will spawn in the home aquarium. Once settled in can become a tyrant to more docile fish and even kill other pygmy angelfishes in smaller tanks. A male and female or two or more females can be kept together in larger tanks (50 gal min. - 189L) if introduced at the same time. Males will sometimes fight to the death. Only one male per tank should be kept.
