Carbon in DT

I had some carbon in a filter sock and the sock fell off and now carbon got sucked up thru the return pump and into the display. Can I just do a water change and while taking water out just siphon out the carbon that's in the tank? Will carbon affect the fish?

The fish and corals will be fine, just suck out what you can while doing a water change

Ok. Thanks lil fish. That's what I thought. It also got in my skimmer and it wasn't skimming anything. Thanks again
