Calcium a little low 380

I just did a 20% water change friday and i checked my calcium last night and it is 380 what is a good buffer to get it up a little??
i have Purple Teck from Kents is that ok to use?? i used it the last 2 days at night and still 380
Everything else is in check the only thing i dont have a test kit for is Mag. should i get one??

Calcium at 380 is fine. I wouldn't mess with it.

Thanks Biff, why do they say to keep at 400-450 ? im not going to mess with it if you say so just wondering

That's an ideal range if you have a lot of animals that use calcium, like SPS corals. For a mixed reef tank (or a tank that doesn't have a lot of SPS), you can have lower calcium because your animals aren't depleting it quickly. 380 is still close enough to 400 that it won't cause problems.
