BioCube lighting question

Oh, gotcha. Try contacting oceanic, they have awesome customer service. There were biocubes sent out with bad ballasts, some were sent out with bad fans, etc. So, if you contact them, it's a sure thing they know of the issue and will send you what you need, free of charge.

I've seen a pump or water filter shoot a very light spray of salt water into the BC29 light fixture (even though it looks sealed) and cause a short. Take the fixture apart and clean and dry it out. This all assuming you don't simply have a bad bulb.

I plugged the bulb into the other slot and it worked fine. Just the one isn't working. Sucks cause we're going to NC tonight. So don't have much time to work or try and fix it. Thanks again

Yea called and if it was bought within a year they would replace it for free. But i bought it off a friend. The only thing I can do now is see if the lfs will make a reciept for me and I could send that in. If not looking for a new light system. Or rig something up. Can't see spending $50 for a new ballast when I'm upgrading soon.

Now that you mention it, I remember when I called they wanted a receipt faxed to them. Then they were happy to send me free replacement stuff. Let me look for my receipt for you, I think I'm right at a year though on mine.

OMG that would be awesome if you could. The sad thing is after they told me to change out the cords to see if the ballast was out. Both quit working and can't even get one of them to work now. Good thing is I'm going on vacation tonight for 5 days so nothing will get done til then. I'll pm you my email address.
