ok I'm thinking of ordering a "Semi Bleeding Apple Scolymia" do any of you know any thing about then all it says for it is the price and that they are from Australia. nothing on feeding, flow, light or other needs and care? I want it but i want to make sure it will keep in my tank and live a long long life.

They are LPS corals and are easy to keep. Moderate light, low to moderate flow, and will do better if fed meaty foods once or twice a week. I've never been into scolys. They seem kinda...boring. If you like it, then it would be a good choice for an easy to keep coral.

Yeah it is pricey one. But I want something as a prize piece that is easy and low maintenance. I think they are beautiful Biff. yes dcantucson that was where I was looking to get it from if my LFS could not get one for me. If I don't get that, I was going to get a few of the med light med flow corals Biff told me about in another thread. But I thinK this one is vary beautiful and I may just bite the bullet on this one...

Try the SEA APPLE from Australia, it is a beautful show piece if you can get the lil basterd to stay in the middle of the tank. Dcan had on and I have one, it is an awsome piece to add to your tank and not as hard to take care of as people say it is. As long as you do routine watwer changes

Ok i'll look in to them all my corals must fit my med-light med-flow parameters. I just have a thing for the mid light tanks and life forms. Flow sure that's easy to change for one part of a tank; Well some what. But light I want to stay at medium light and the corals that will thrive in these conditions.

this is why I am looking in to it before I buy. I want to make educated buy's as often as I can. I know every one at some point does and impulse buy. With my corals iwant to make sure I get whats right for the light I want to keep .

They have that Scoly EXTREMELY over priced. We've sold several of those this week at the LFS.The most expensive was just $80.00. The EXACT same coral.

It sounds like a disease LOL Show us pics when you pick one :)
will do I may end up scratching it now and uping to a 4bulb T5HO light system I found privately through my LFS some pipe organ coral and omfg they are my favorite coral out there aside from Fire Coral. But I would never want to own fire coral. Let alone any thing that stings to where I or my fish friends (aside from Nem's) could get stung placing or fixing something in my tank.
