Banded Coral Shrimp

Range - Caribbean, Cebu, Hawaii, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Sumatra

Max Size – 2.5 in (6 cm)

Temperament – Semi-aggressive

Foods and feeding – This shrimp will scavenge its food the aquarium but will appreciate occasional treats of meaty foods.

Captive care – The shrimp is known to start out as a docile tank mate, but become very aggressive killing other inverts and small fish. They should be kept only one per tank. It is an opportunistic predator. They come in a variety of different colors. Like all invertebrates, they are extremely sensitive to nitrates and copper, and should only be kept in aquariums with pristine water conditions.
