you should get your salinity up to 1.023-1.026 range I would think. Natural Saltwater is 35ppm so if you have a Refractometer (which i recommend getting) it is the reading on the right side when you look it. From what it looks to me, natural saltwater is close to the 1.025-1.026 range.

also if io want to have soft corals and such will a lion be ok to have what fish cant i have with lions besides the ones that will fit in his mouth:question:

i was thinking about a lion or foxface i know both are poisonous just curious

Lionfish will eat other fish, but foxfaces won't. And foxfaces will eat nuisance algae. Lionfish won't eat corals.

No, they don't kill fish with their fins, if that's what you're asking. They just eat other fish.

Other fish pretty much stay away from lion fish. Like Biff said they don't kill with their spines and other fish don't tend to swim into them. I didn't have many other fish with mine, even ones to big for him to eat. He used to annoy other fish and dominated the tank, although he left the eel and octopus alone. He was a fairly large lion fish though. (he ate well)
