+1 everyone....that's not something you want to risk If just the frame is cracked, you could rip it off and order a replacement frame. If the glass is even a little cracked, though, over time it would be more trouble than its worth.

Well, I usually wear gloves anyway, but if you wear lotions or work with chemicals, you should wash. But even when I don't wear gloves, I don't always wash my hands prior. Just make sure you rinse the soap off really well.

I've done that many times. I do rinse very well, though, so hopefully you did, too. Your tank's a 54g.,..I doubt it will make a big difference. I've accidentally stuck my hands in my tank after putting on lotion, too :mrgreen: Now if it were a small 10 or 20g, I'd be more wary.

Too much reading involved :mrgreen: Either way, I still suggest going elsewhere for livestock unless the lfs is willing to take better care of where they get their fish (or at least take steps to qt them). That and do drip acclimate, and make sure the fish are eating before you leave the lfs.

Are you sure they were even the opposite sex? LOL I think the male has a longer dorsal fin than a female. Not sure if there's a size difference.

Even if fish are bonded doesn't mean they'll stay that way upon rehoming. Maybe they fought on the way to your house LOL Kidding. Honestly, fish are individuals like people...you never know how things turned out. Where did you order the fish from? You really don't know if they're bonded...

I cycled my 125g with all base rock and dry sand. Took around 4-5 weeks. Just tossed some frozen mysis in there. But I was in no rush.
