    very stressed naso

Garlic does not "save" the fish, it is a natural appetite stimulant and it's been proven to have an effect in humans, as well as many other species, marine, freshwater and land animals, as well.

    Finally figured out my problem

The only corals that are difficult would be gorgonions and other NPS corals. Like gonis or chili corals. I keep SPS, LPS, and softies and they don't take any effort at all.

Need help with a cooling fan...

+1. Evap happens quickly, I go through 4-6+ gallons a week in just top off water and the only thing you can do to help is get an ATO system and automate it.

    Finally figured out my problem

I have never had a coral that I found to be more difficult than fish. You put them in and then don't touch them and they flourish.

    Finally added my first fish...

I would suggest leaving it with the damsel and clowns since you only have a 35 gallon hex.

I don't know about scientific studies, and each fish is an individual, just like us people, but garlic does work most of the time unless its really bad. I've seen it happen way too many times to say coincidence or that it was a fluke.

At this point I would suggest mixing some new water and maybe putting him in it. I have no idea what, if anything, you could try medicating, but there's not much to lose now, in my opinion. I hope you can get something figured out.

Black Crab with hairy stripy legs with yellow tips

Pointy claws almost always mean predators. That's probably your number 1 suspect.

    Powerhead question for newbie

Yes, all of your nitrogen levels (NH4, NO3, NO2) should be 0. Would something die? A clown or damsel? Probably not. An angel or shrimp? Most likely. But, I would agree and wait.

    White Fang-Tooth Blenny

I know it is, but is it a safe fish? I'm going with yes based on my research. So I will go get him in 2 weeks when I get paid again.

    Lets talk about shrimp

No, actually, that's a common misconception. They just tell you that. Although, make it a beer batter and it works like Jesus himself made it.

    Powerhead question for newbie

Mangroves can be cool. No rock should be on the glass, you can epoxy them together and make a nice base or you can for dome smaller pieces around PVC for some structural support. You can also add rock all at once, there's no need to wait, but you can if you want.

    Powerhead question for newbie

You can really only put 3, maybe 4 fish in if you're careful. If you get clowns, you can always put a yellow-tail blue damsel in, but nothing else. You would also want a lot more rock for territory and hiding spaces because damsels are aggressive. Good news is that clowns are in that same family...

    Powerhead question for newbie

You CANNOT have Dori. Nemo, yes, but regal tangs need AT LEAST 6 feet of swimming room. You might look into liveaquaria.com who has a section on nano-fish. Be careful, though, as most fish need more laterl swimming space than vertical, so you may need to understock. That said, a pair of clowns...

    Powerhead question for newbie

No, I don't waste money on that stuff. If you want, you can buy some and toss it in, it will help kick start the good bacterial growth.

    White Fang-Tooth Blenny

My LFS has a White fang-tooth blenny (Meiacanthus smithi, a.k.a. Smith's Blenny, Disco Blenny, White Fang Blenny, etc...). Can anyone give me more info? From what I can find, it's a peaceful fish that gets upwards of 3" and will get along with others but hold its own if it needs. I have a YCG...
