If its not too late, don't buy the Calcium checker. Its very inconsistent. I can run the same test 3 times in a row and get results that very by 50 ppm. I am a big fan of the Alkalinity checker and use the phosphate checker as well. For Ca and Mag I'm using the Red Sea Pro kits.

I was going to say the same thing, you can get salt buildup on the little arrow thing. I would give it a vinegar bath and test again.

Yeah the tank looks great, and miracles was relatively easy to work with. The only complaint I have is that they didn't attach the overflow or bulkheads I purchased from them. Of course I had a non-traditional overflow done so that may have had something to do with it.

Yeah, there are lots of different kinds of coralline algae. Thats just a branching type instead of the commonly know plating kind.

Awesome dennis, very exciting. I'd think you definitely want the 4 radians for good coverage. Did you consider doing a cost to coast overflow at one end of the tank instead of a center overflow? Would work well since its all concealed anyway. Are those architectural renders for your new place...
