Newly acclimated Anthias laying on the sand

Definitely took pictures, thanks for the suggestions. The fish have moved on from the bottom of the tank to hide in the rockwork so I suppose that may be a good sign. They are way bigger than my other 2 anthias and both appear to be male so there may be other issues...

Newly acclimated Anthias laying on the sand

Hey All, I ordered another 3 anthias from liveaquaria. One of them arrived DOA and I acclimated the other two by adding a shot class full of water to their bags every 5 minutes until the bags were full, then drained the water and added them to the tank. Immediately upon being put in the water...

If the bio-pellets are starving the tank of phosphates and nitrates then you want to be supplementing with a coral food of some sort. I like the Red Sea Coral Pro Energy A&B supplements, but haven't really used them much since I haven't yet achieved a ULNS (ultra low nutrient system). Water...

    Different Wrasses

Dragon Wrasse is def not reef safe. I like the look of the leopard wrasse, and love flasher wrasses. Unfortunately I can't get any of the above as they're all jumpers.

    Unexpected plants

They probably hitchiked in on your live rock. The can spread very rapidly so you want to be sure to deal with it right away. The best stuff is to use is Aiptasia-X, and then get a peppermint shrimp to keep them from coming back.

Have you tried dipping any of the corals in something like CoralRx?

    kilo's 100 gallon tall REEF!

Home Depot and Lowes, along with other hardware stores, sell 5 gallon buckets you can use. In the long run though you are definitely going to want to invest in an RO/DI filtration unit and make your own saltwater. Its not an insignificant initial investment but it will save you a lot of money...

    Unexpected plants

Google "Aiptasia" and look at the images. Is that what you've got? If not we'll need a little more detailed description (or a photo) of what you have in order to ID.

    HELP!!! Skimmer went nuts!!!!

When my skimmer goes crazy I typically just turn it off for 30 minutes to an hour. Typically its fine when I start it back up. The one exception was Kent Marine calcium which took 12 hours or so.

Casey and Sarah's brand new tank!

Yeah you can do a sponge to help with bubbles, but keep in mind it'll need to get cleaned every couple of days else it will begin to leak nitrates.

    Dubby's 10 Gallon Reef

I'm a huge fan of Finding Nemo, can't wait until it comes out on Bluray. Sadly my tank isn't big enough for a moorish idol, though I believe they nip at corals too.
