    coral stocking

I'm sorry, I thought I seen anenome. Corals can be added slowly after 6 weeks and good tests. Start out with beginner corals and have fun with it. Lps corals like frogspawn, hammer, duncan, etc are great beginner corals because they move nicely with the current.

hello all! im new to the hobby and need stocking ideas?!

1st picture is pretty bad, favia maybe. 2nd is gsp (green star polyp) and zoas...... and a fake plant. Never had a sea clone..... you get what you pay for. Do some research on refugium and sumps. You can add filter socks/Floss, media..... The list goes on.

hello all! im new to the hobby and need stocking ideas?!

Welcome aboard. Certain fish eat a type of coral. You need to know what coral you have or at least add pictures. Tangs will not be a good choice for a 3 ft tank. Canister filters are a joke, they will be more of a pain than an asset. What type of 'reef' led lights do you have?

    Cyano

Have you tried stop water changes and hydrogen peroxide dosing? Works great. 1ml/ 10gallons. I used 2 mls without issues. Good luck, it will clear up in a month.

New with saltwater- help please =]

Welcome aboard. I would toss the biocube skimmer away. Relying on a piece of lime wood and changing it out each month for what it produces. Not worth it. I am not a fan of canister filters 'biofilter' for saltwater. The don't work on my pond and I wouldn't use them on my saltwater set up...

Before you add fish. Hahahaha. You want the nitrates at 0 to tell the end of the cycle. Just go ahead and get that w/c done.

    red mandarin drragonet

I don't know if the size is different lately in my system. I have seem to develop a gorilla pod. I should take some pictures. I don't think it really matters having a fuge to grow pods. They do stay right where it's safe and love the macro algae of the refugium. I commented much earlier...

    New Light Acclimation Help Needed

With the corals you have, you don't need anything over 60%. I would start there and increase if needed. I run 95% and am sps dominant and a ft bigger tank. I started at 70 and increased 5% per week until 90%. I went up 1% per week after that. Color can be anything you want, coraline algae...

    red mandarin drragonet

Do you really think that any pods live going through a pump? I would try sticking my finger in it first to see what the outcome is first.

    Shrinking soft corals

I would keep an eye on the coral beauty. Angels are not the best idea in a reef tank but yet doable. Color loss comes from alk swing, do you have an ato?
