B's NanoBox Powered Fusion 20

Battle Dwarf
So I've had this tank for a few months now, and it needs a MAJOR overhaul. The stock media baskets were horrible , and let everything just spill over the top. To fix the problem, I made my own media shelf out of eggcrate, and magnets... Worked really well actually, but due to the small size of the filter compartment I have been changing felt pads daily (which I'm tired of doing) The other annoying issue is the amount of microbubbles, no matter what I do they will not go away.

Soooooooooo

I have began the process of adding a sump to the system, and removing the all in one section from the tank. I think the 24x15x13 footprint will be fun to work with.Tank: Innovative Marine Fusion 20

Sounds like a fun project, I would love to see pics of your progress.

Those will hopefully be coming this weekend. I got the baffles in the sump last night, and I hope to be removing the all in one chamber and drilling it on Saturday .

So cobalt makes a filter mod that turns a HOB filter into a filter/vac if you will. The price is a little steep imo for what it actually is so I thought why not use this :

https://cobaltaquati...-inline-pump-2/

An inline pump with vinyl tubing and just let it dump into a filter sock. It will come in handy for vacuuming the sump .

I will report back on the results

I snagged a few pics of the frags that I purchased from a friend on another forum. For the most part all is good, but there were a couple of casualties possibly caused by the 5hr delay in delivery.

We will start with the bad

If I look from the top down, it appears that there MAY be a VERY tiny bit of life, but it could be wishful thinking
