Is it coming straight off the mantle or below? I am thinking vermetid snail or speghetti worm is attached to the shell.

It is coming off of the mantle. It is right below the intake and the flesh looks like is absorbing it? One of my cleaners is "hiding" possibly a molt but I haven't seen any other signs. Can the dimples on the mantle absorb things like the mouths on lps?

Alright, I had to give it a tug, it was a molt. It was attached to the flesh but I didn't rip it. Still curious about the dimples
