no i now they can i just lost my nem over night :death::grumble::frustrat: i want to know is there any way to make it so they cant get sucked into the power like putting some kind of screen on it. RIP nem:(:(

Sorry for your loss. Yes some people install screen on their power heads to help prevent what you experienced. What kind of power heads do you have?

There is some stuff called 7 mesh it is needle point backing that you pick up at most arts and crafts stores. Some people use nylon stockings but they will have to be taken off and rinsed in RO water regularly. Filter floss and sponge (like you put over a pump intake) could also be used.

thank for the input Nick i will be tracking some of that down for when i do get another nem but im going to wait awhile before i get another
