White snot stuff

I have noticed some funky white snot-like stuff hanging out of my duncan coral can someone please tell me what this is?

Hello and welcome to the site...another Chicagoan. That's just the corals mucus that they excrete for protection. Either something was touching/aggravating it or it was out of water.

How long has it looked like that?
What are your water parameters?
It could just be something bothering it, but it could also be poor water quality bothering it.

Do the duncans open up normally? Those are closed. If they stay closed all the time, that is a sign that they are unhappy and unhealthy.
