Is this a starfish?

Ok... So I bought some live sand about 3 months ago and put it in my tank. There are a lot of different things happening in my tank. This thing just popped up on the side of my tank. I have no idea how it got there and I had no idea starfish can randomly grow in a tank. If anyone knows what this is please let me know. Thanks.

Yes, it's an asterina. They are generally harmless but some (usually darker ones) have been known to munch on zoas. They all eat coralline off the rocks. I pick them off my glass whenever i can.
