got my first sps coral! its a small piece of birdsnest! :bounce: seeing as this is my first sps coral i wanted to know if there is anything i should know about these guys or any tips?

I am a girl

I think birdsnest are one of the best SPS corals to start with. They are pretty, hardy, and grow fast. Be sure to acclimate it to your light -- start it on the bottom of the tank and gradually move it upwards. You don't want to shock it. Keep your water parameters in check, and it should do well for you!

it's already at the top of the tank :frustrat: the fish store had it towards the top of their tank (it was in a display tank) and they had better lighting than me so i figured it would probably be best to just put it at the top

In that case, then you're probably fine placing it up high. Congrats on the new piece.
