What are my corals doing?

Both my hammer and torch have a clear bubble over their mouths. The hammer has 4 mouths with a bubble over 2 of them and the touch has 2 mouths with a bubble over only 1 of them. Both corals are looking great and don't show any signs of declining. What are they doing? Is this normal? Is it a good or bad thing? Sorry the pic isn't very good. Any suggestions and comments will be greatly appreciated.
