What live food would be good for him? I saw on the web site that feeder shrimp was good but someone on here said there not very healthy?

brine shrimp isnt very nutritious. Feeder shrimp should do just fine.

I would suggest trying to get him to eat frozen food. It will be cheaper. Also, a mix of different kinds of food would benefit him.

+1. The more frozen and dehydrated food you can get him to eat....WAY CHEAPER. the more live food you eat, the bigger he will get, much much faster.

lion fish will take frozen food, it can take a week before they start eating it. I used to cut up small frozen fish for him and put it in the tank. He would eat brine shrimp readily, but that has no nutrition.
