Reefing newb
I have a new skimmer for my tank and am not sure how this one works. I am guessing it is a Hang on Venturi Pump model but not sure. I have these two pictures of it. The skimmer is without a collection cup, so any help on what brand you may think it is or how to get me started in the right direction of making a new cup would be great as well. I am also wondering what type of pump will be needed for this to function properly, and can a cheap venturi pump work. Another option, is can I use my Main pump for the tank to split water from the sump to the skimmer and to the Display by adding it to the plumbing. I have a very strong pump that I have to actually scale back and turn down because it will suck my sump dry if it runs open. Sorry the pics are turned sideways.
