algae eating infection near coral

Must frag without contamination. Is this possible given the extent of the growth here? the yellow border kept expanding. I didn't believe this was actually happening until it was pretty obvious that the coralline algae was dying off. I was thinking of cutting off a frag of that favia and tossing the rest of the rock. Let me know what you guys think.

I would try an Iodine dip. If it is a bacteria, the Iodine might kill it.

Not really sure the iodine will do that much. I could give the dip a try. I still have almost a full bottle of iodine left. What's the ratio to mix for best results?
