pump question

we are getting ready to set up the new tank and I came up with a new idea to have the disp. tank on our main floor and the sump and frag tank room in the basement and still have them all hooked togather the pump that I have pumps 1140gph do you think that it will lift it that far?? the disp tank is a 90 gal tank

What is the Brand of pump you have and exactly how many feet from the sump up to the tank is there?

yea, we need more information about that particular pump. the gallons per hour that a pump can push is independant of the pressure or lift that it can push that volume of water at...

i'm assuming that you will end up with about 9-10 feet of vertical sepperation between the pump downstairs and the top of the tank upstairs... sound about right?
